The purpose of this assignment is to describe conflicts between federal and state health policies while helping to understand health care reforms that include public health preparedness.
You will create a fictitious health care reform plan based on what you have learned about U.S. and international health care programs throughout class. Write an essay of 850 words on an approach to health care reform, and consider what reforms you would implement post COVID-19. Include the following points in your essay:
- Describe the conflicts between existing federal and state health policies. How are these conflicts typically resolved?
- Describe how this reform ensures public health preparedness with regard to epidemics.
- Identify the percentage of the gross domestic product you would propose to be set aside for health care.
A minimum of two scholarly sources must be cited, including your textbook.
